Babysitting
Coop
The babysitting co-op is a club within the Mothers Club. Members
participating in the co-op provide and receive care for their
child(ren) in exchange for babysitting hours. They earn hours
when watching other children and use hours to have their own
child(ren) watched. All members of the Mothers Club are eligible
to join. There are co-op meetings which give you and your
child(ren) the opportunity to meet other families in the co-op.

Outreach
Some of the club's energies and resources are channelled into
projects that help those in our community who have important
needs. The club focuses on assisting organizations and programs

Newsletter
Each month a newsletter is sent to all members filled with
news of past events, as well as information about up-coming
events. It is also filled with classified ads, informative articles and

Mother's
Support
Club members offer support to other members and their families
during both the joys and stresses of motherhood. Members provide
homemade meals, run errands, grocery shop, help with siblings,
etc. during times such as a new birth, bed rest and illness
or family emergencies. If a club member you know could use

Outings
The club hosts monthly outings for everyone, including outings
for kids of all ages, activities for the entire family, and
even some fun events just for moms. Outings in the past have
included Train Town and the Bay Area Discovery Museum for
kids; trips to the Halloween pumpkin patch and Christmas tree

Playgroups
Playgroups are a very reassuring and confidence building way to introduce children to socialization
and to give them a little bit of independence at the same time. They can also teach valuable lessons and
even prepare kids for school.
Playgroups also offer valuable support to moms. Playgroup members can share information about kids
behavior, eating habits, sleeping habits, and many other things that can cause moms stress. Joining a
playgroup is a great way to find out about new places/things to do with your kids and to get out and
meet new moms and share in the child raising experience.
Playgroups can be the beginning of your child's social life as well as a lifetime of learning. Nurture both
by joining a playgroup today!

Rummage
Sale
Each spring we hold a rummage sale to sell/buy/trade all the
stuff that accumulates in the garage when you've got children
- maternity clothes, toys, strollers, baby clothes, kids clothes,
etc. The club takes a percentage of the proceeds to help fund

Special
Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups include the Book Club, Career Moms Group,
Knitting and Small Crafts Group, Scrapbooking, Special Needs Support Group,
and many others. The groups list their activities in the monthly
Newsletter. All members are welcome
to participate in any activity that is listed, with the exception
of a few groups who are limited in size due to the nature
of the activity. Most groups are usually for the moms only.
Anyone interested in an activity can start a "group".

Special
Events
The club sponsors several special events during the year that
provide opportunities for families to get out and have some
fun with other club members. Events include the Easter Egg
Hunt, Halloween Party, Holiday Party and 4th of July Parade. In
May there is a Mother's Social, which is our way to celebrate the common bond of motherhood and to show appreciation for all the hard work it entails. All members and potential members are invited to celebrate with us!
